| I've looked real careful, but is there no kickstarter on this bike?

| | No. And there are no aftermarket kickstarters available. There never will be. Don't be fooled by what looks like the remnants of a decompression lever on the engine. |

| ... and there ain't no crank on the front of cars these days either. A kick starter is nice in case of a low battery but there is always push starting in you're in a bind.

| | That's right, Gregory. Not now, not ever again. KLR650 had one until middle nineties or so. They redesigned the clutch basket, removing the remnants that made adding one possible. You'll have to push and bump start it, should the need arise. |

| in 1995 kawasaki changed the clutch main gear size,prior years can be fitted with a kickstart.
