| Find a harley mechanic who has been dealing with belt drives for years and let him adjust it. Mine was making a weird sound also. My dealer had an ex Harley mechanic on staff. He loosened the belt just a hair and the sound went away.

| I bought the guage from Beartooth Kaw for about $30. It already paid for itself when I had the rear pulley chromed. It was too tight before I fixed it.

| Thjere should be 2.5mm deflection when 10 lbs of force are applied to belt, when intalling a new belt or replacing engine. If belt has been run for a lot of miles, deflection may be up to 4mm
