| I rode two KTM's and both snapped into first gear when sitting still (loud gear clash) does your 525 make a bang noise going into first from a stop?

| A lot of KTM's do that. I work at a KTM dealer Sun City Budget Cars & Motorcycles
I find with my own '04 250EXC 2T that if it's cold, and sitting still idling, then put into first, there is quite a crash as the dogs engage. Cold gearbox oil is the cause in my opinion. I operate my clutch a few times to allow oil to move between clutch plates, make sure idle speed isn't too high, (unless it's 4 stroke, you need correct idle speed to maintain oilpump pressure) then it usually shifts with less of a crash.
