| About how many miles is a 650 KLR good for? You know like how many miles will one go before like you need to refuel it or before you need to put brakes on it.

| | I go about 225 before switching to reserve and heading off to the nearest gas station. Tanks about 6 gallons, mileage about 50 mpg, reserve a little less than a gallon but the last 1/4 gallon not easy to access without sloshing so best not to push it. Dont know about brake wear. |

| I seen a 2001 model on ebay a while back with 30,000 miles on it and the seller claimed the bike still ran great. As far as fueling, I get between 55 and 60 MPG with mine, so with the 6.1 gallon fuel capacity you should easily be able to get 300+ miles between fuel ups. As far as the brakes, I don't know. With 2300 miles, mine are still fine.

| Riders seem to get about 50 mpg, give or take. That six gallon tank will take you a long way. Very few bikes like it hold that much gasoline. In fact, most others use three to four gallon tanks. No big deal if you don't go anywhere. A very big deal if your horizons are farther. More fuel is a very good thing. The brake pads should last five to ten thousand miles, more or less. Depends on how you ride. Don't stop and they will last indefinately. It's a great bike. Good luck.
