The KLR 650 is a Man's bike, not for boys. You might very well get killed on it. Start out with a 125.

For a 13 year old, I strongly recomend the 125cc. It is lighter and more manouverable yet powerful enough to learn on. The KLR is better for someone who has been riding for a few years and is a fairly experienced rider... especially in the dirt... Sometime bigger is not always better... Good luck.

Probably the Yamaha. The KLR650 has a pretty high seat hight, around 35 inches. I'm 5'10" and the seat hight is border line on being a bit too hight for me.

You'll need a ladder to get on this thing, boy. It aint no kids bike. Get the 125 and quit dreaming.

If your father cared for your safety he would of not even considered the KLR650 for you. The TT 125 and the KLR are two totally different motorcycles. If you want a dual purpose consider the Yamaha XT 200 or mabey the KLR 250, but stay off the roadways until you get your motorcycle license. The KLR 650 is too much for you right now.
