| | I am interested in buying a new buell firebolt. I love the bike but my girlfriend isnt sold on it. She feels since she doesnt know much about it, that nobody does and she thinks there wont be much room for her on the back passenger seat. Could you tell me if it is really a comfortable ride on the back of this bike and if it is just as safe for her to ride the back of this bike than it would be with her riding on the back of another bike? |

| | i have an '03 XB9R and i enjoy it quite a bit. it is a fun bike and i think you could enjoy it. as far as a passenger goes i dont think that ANY of the sport bikes are truely comfortable. but this one is as good as any. depending on how tall your girlfriend is she may find the passenger footpegs a little high. but other than that its not bad. and i mean no offense when i say that i hope your girl has a little butt. because this seat (or any passenger seat on sport bikes) is not for the ladies with the large booty. |

| I'd rather go for the lightning if you plan to ride with a passenger.
The optional touring pillion seat looks good in the Buell website pictures but remains a very small cushion when you actually see it in real life.
Some Buell owners have modded their Lightnings to get a Firebold fairing. |
