| Q1: How is the Race ECM different from the stock unit?
I have read that the stock unit operates in closed loop until ~3500 and 1/3 throttle, which sets the position of the fuel curve for higher outputs. Q2: How can the Race EMC use the same approach? ... race bikes would rarely operate under the conditions required for closed loop calibration.
Q3: Is there an after market computer based package which will enable me to check the EMC settings, TPS reset etc for the Race unit. Ive been told that the K&M Scanalyser is only available to Harley Dealers (also too pricy).
Q4: Is it possible to rezero the TPS without using a Scanalyser?

| The race ECM operates in closed loop under the same conditions as stock. However the Base calibrations are different. Stock is working to achieve an air/fuel ratio of 14.7:1 , or stoichiometric ratio. which will provide the cleanest emmsions and not melt down. The Race ECM is shooting for 12-13:1 A/F ratio, which is optimun for peak performance. The difference is shown in the Injector pulse width and ignition timing. To zero the TPS or re-set the AFV you need a scanalyzer. They are the same as OTC automobile scan tools. But you still need a Buell cartridge and cable to hook it up, though.
