i would like to know how fast this bike is compared to the new CBR1000RR and Yamaha YZF R1

This and those jap 2 are not in the same "category" so to speak. The Duc has a V-Twin, while the Japs have an inline four, thus producing 75% to 100% more power than the Duc. Although power and speed are not everything for all practical purposes. This Duc does have agility, weight and weight distribution, better fuel economy and being unique more so than those other jap bikes. I imagine that this Duc can probably make it up to.....about 150...maybe. 95 horsepower on an aircooled twin is alot for this somewhat small displacement(compared to v-twin cruisers) and because of a larger lack of power, it might not go as fast as the ricers. But it can definitely hold its own on a track with more turns that straits. Safe riding!
