| Possibly, but not by much. I think my owners manual rates it @ 110 Hp. However, with a little modification, the V-Rod can easily surpass 120 Hp.

| the engine is rated at 118bhp. 5-10% is typically lost through the drivetrain. That would leave about 105-110 bhp at the rear wheel. Remember, You cant ride a Spec sheet. the little Ole 1130cc vrod outruns a vtx 1800

| HP wise, the V-rod does alright for a V-twin. But my little ole 636cc Kaw will kill it!

| The V-Rod makes about 101 hp at the rear wheel. BIG DEAL! A bunch of 600cc sport bikes that weigh about half as much make more hp and have REAL brakes and REAL handling. Not just straight line cruiser handling.

| The horsepower rating that the factory claims is rated at the motor. The actual H.P. that I heard at my local H.D. dealer is 106 h.p. at the rear wheel.

| | The stock V-Rod has 115HP. With optional exhaust and air filter and ECM mods, mine is running about 125HP. Naturally, rear-wheel HP is usually a bit less and climate can affect these numbers a bit. If anyone dynos much less than these numbers, they need to have their bike serviced. Also, remember that the V-Rod wasn't built to be a crotch rocket or to outperform pure sport bikes. Yet, there are only a dozen or fewer bikes that can keep up with it. Not bad for a beautiful, well-built power cruiser that turns heads wherever it goes. |
