| Also, since this is a big ol' air cooled 4 cylinder, I'm concerned about overheating in traffic on those 90+ summer days. Anybody ever have a problem with that?

| Hi,
I have Nhawk with 24000 milles riding in the city traffic in hot summer days. Never had a problem with overheating. Oil cooler helps a lot.

| You won't have any problems. I have a 2002 that I ride all year round in Houston. Even when the temps are up in the high 90's to 100's I don't have a problem with overheating. The bikes come standard with an oil cooler and I think that really helps. I would really reccomend this bike for a beginner, as it has enough power that you will be satisfied when you are a competent rider looking for more speed and handling, and yet it is docile enough for a beginner. All you have to do is keep off the throttle.

| I had a 1981 Honda 750 in Arizona and it never overheated in traffic. The new ones have an oil cooler the old one didn't have. Don't sweat the heat.

| | I bought mine in Corpus Christi, Tx and am now in Germany. Mine runs the autobon at an easy 95 mph and it has never over heated or any problems. The bike will go at least 115 but I haven't run it at that consistentlysince it is a bit light weight wise for those speeds and I get some buffeting around my Memphis Shades Vera Cruz screen. There are still some great hold over new bikes out there too, wish there was a decent top box for it. Over here the body is a little different in the tail shape and tank so the many accessories wont fit mine. Honda also gave the Euro version a rear disk brake-not fair! Happy riding1 |

| I've been riding in South Florida stop n go traffic in August and standing for up to 3 minutes at our long "let the old guy cross the street" stoplights. I'm overheating, but the Nighthawk isn't.

| Not so far. I have had mine in 100 + degree heat and no problems.

| I have only owned mine since the first part of this summer, but it typically gets up into the 114 degree range here. I've not had one episode on mine. I don't stay off the thing when it gets hot, either. I hope nothing happens!
