| Has anyone ever experienced a problem with an M2 sputtering and stalling when fuel level reaches 2 gallons? Any ideas for a quick fix?

| Check out review "loss of power". He claims the fuel canister causes vapor lock.Let me know if this helps.

| I have a 2002 doing the same thing. Even after I put a K & N Forcewinder on the bike, it still stalls. My last occurance was yesterday, after about 100 miles, just died.

| I have a 2002 M2, and experienced the same thing last two times out.
Web posters recommend chekcing your gas tank vent (clogged/pinched)
as the probable culprit. I haven't yet but plan to soon.

| It is most likley the the screen. It clogs low. This is for Brent, after about 100 miles, unless you are babying the hell out of it, you needed to switch to reserve.

| | I use the yost power tube with the stock high speed jet (#200) and replaced the low speed/idle jet (#42) with a (#45). Stock air cleaner box, with a k&n air filter and ss2r exhaust by Vance&Hines. No black smoke and no pops or sputtering |

| I noticed this one after a few months while riding up the sierras. It seems that the breather tube is probably just barely adequate. I have had to open the filler a time or two just to get her going again...

| I just bought a new 2000 M2, and had this problem. Would stall every so often, regardless of fuel level. Turns out it was the tank vent-the hose that vents the tank is threaded through the frame and out the bottom, and had been clamped too tightly, crushing/pinching the end shut. Dealership re-routed hose and cut off the crushed 1/2", and voila! no more sputtering. Hope it helps.

| I just bought a 2000 M2 myself & heard that removing the fuel canister was the fix. Also check the tank vent, the hose leading from in may be kinked. No, I haven't tried this yet as I just got my Buell yesterday.
