| I was wondering what is the HP rating for this bike. I could not find this information anywhere.

| | Rated at 43 hp at the crankcase, and tests out around 37 hp at rear wheel. You can find info with internet search on "KLR 650 horsepower". |

| I posted 43 hp above; actually its 48 claimed per kawasaki's specs available at buykawasaki.com. Last published for 2000 or 2001 but it hasnt changed.
The early KLR600 had about 42 hp, claimed by kawa, and that number is often misquoted for recent models. |
