| i have a cr 500 and a kx 500. the cr handles better than the bulky kx, but makes up for it in raw power. the bottem line is, the cr can run with the kx, and sometimes will smoke it.

| I have ridden my friends CR500, and i own a KX500. The CR handles much better, and doesnt vibrate nearly as much. However, when me and my friend would race, the CR lacked alot of punch, and not a great top speed, my KX would eat it up on straights, and explode out of turns. In the woods, the CR is more easy on the arms, the KX vibrates, and the power surges come out of nowhere.

| | Of the three CR's and the piped and pampered KX500 I have rode the CR would eat it alive in the desert because it way more pipey like a 250 2-stroke MXer but in the woods the CR would have to have a rider with plenty of courage because it a beast in the woods where the KX is like a KDX 200 but three times the power so it is alot easier to control. |
