| I'm 19 and I'm looking into getting my first bike. I'm 6' and like 250 lbs. Would this be too much of a bike for me if I take it pretty easy for the first couple months?

| hey bro,
Have you checked out buell.com yet? It takes some digging but there is alot of info there for you. This bike has one of the shortest wheel bases on the market. for a taller person like your self it might be a little uncomfortable for you but you need to try it and see for your self. Im 6'1" 240 and i like the way i feel on it. If this is your first bike it might be ok for you. It is not too pricy and easy to ride. I dont own one but ride my roommates every day! it might be a little too easy to ride. If you have been on a bike before you learn on this one, it will feel almost unstable under you. this is because its muffler is mounted under the engine. This lowers the center of gravity and lowers the amount of force it takes to flip the bike in and out of turns. If you have never been on a bike before and learn on this one, any other bike you get on will feel heavy and hard to lean with the turns. The bike is not unstable, you just have to respect the road and dont get too crazy with it untill you KNOW YOUR BIKE!!! Since the muffler is below the engine, it blows hot air on your left foot and leg at stop lights and such. The unique breaking system makes braking easy but at high speeds you might feel a little pull to the right, which is the side of the break plate. Other than those things, I LOVE THIS BIKE. It is fun to ride, easy to handle, easy to keep, and the ladies love it. Check out any revies you can and ride it for your self. You must feel comfortable on your bike otherwise you could get hurt. Ride for yourself and not for others. Dont get caught up in all the bullshit. Ive had too many friends fall to that. Now I cant ride with them anymore. Good luck.

| I personally wouldn't recommend the XB12R as a first bike. First learn how to ride (i e spend a couple of seasons on a relatively low-powered machine (less than 80HP) and practice, practice, practice). Then you should attend a few track-days and learn how to ride for real. Afterwards, you can buy this machine, and really enjoy it as it was supposed to.
It scared the life out of me when I tried it the first time (this was the first sports bike I rode). Your feet behind your butt, your knees feel like they're up under your chin (at least if you are more than 6" tall), and all weight from your body leans on the palms of your hands until you reach 100Mph... Extremely addictive - but as I said, you should learn how to ride properly before you take on such a beast, otherwise you'll end up against a tree or somebody's house or something...
