| I am new to motorcycles and I love touring bikes. Would this be a good beginners bike ? if not do you know something that kinda looks the same ( I LOVE the lines of this cycle) And how is maintenance? I was looking at the BMW but it needs to go in every 6000 miles to reset the two carburators. ad any other info is more then welcome

| This bike is the best out there for comfortable long distance riding. I have a R1150 GS which does require more maintence it also isn't as smooth as the ST, but a good bike for what it does gravel roads. As a beginner the ST's weight can be handfull after the first 1000 miles you will be control.

| I highly recommend this bike and it is a good beginners bike because eventhough it is a heavy bike its center of gravity is so low and is so well balanced that it feels as if it weighed half as much. It handles great, and is very fast for touring bike. As far as maintenance, Honda recommends an oil change and retorque of all bolts at first 600 then oil changes are every 8,000 miles.
