Does anyone have any experience with big bore kits and/or headwork on a Buell 1200? I've been a tad disappointed with the performance of my '00 M2, and am thinking about doing some serious engine mods for more midrange (Nallin Racing has a 88ci kit that looks interesting). I don't want to sink a bunch of time and/or cash on something that will make the bike unreliable, but the previous owner already did some breathing work and I'm not sure what else I could try. Thanks!

i had a 99 cyclone that i had the the heads ported and polished new valve seats and angles cut on valves with heavier springs. j&e high compression pistons and thinner head gaskets. I also put the factory race kit in the carb, a high flow airbox and vance and hines slip on. Also installed adjustable race ignition. All in all it cost around three grand. The bike was much more enjoyable to ride-smoothed out the powerband. it made it alot faster, but if i had to do it again, i think i would buy a new bike.
