| I've been waiting for the right time to buy my speedmaster. And now it looks like that time is very close. Triumph brought up the 2005's on there website today. The speedmaster now has 865cc truxton engine with the same black out apperance. Now my question is even though the new speedmaster has more torque it has less horsepower. Which do you think would be a better bike to purchase? The torquer 2005, or the 2004?

| Guys, if you see a discounted 04 bike [like me] i'd jump at the 04 & have some cash for doing a big-bore kit later ... i'ved saved £1000's over stock price and budgeting £500 for a big bore kit [after a year] plus this motor is from the Thruxton which is slighty more "buzzy" [so i guess] ..give me torque everytime and you need CC's for that ... picking mine up this weekend ..cant wait ..all best Greg [in the Uk]

| I am about to buy a 2005 Speedmaster and am also concerned about the gearing/horsepower/torque. Does this bike need a sixth gear???
Thanks Ron
