I have a 2000 V92C with a stage one kit
Can't seem top find a solution for the (popping) backfiring and the rich burn.
Have tried the dealer on three different occasions with little results.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I had the same trouble as you, it was repaired by Ed Lichtle, service manger Propulsion Motorsports. It took Ed and Victory tech support 8 weeks to find and fix. Good Luck

If you replace the ECM chip with a D&D chip it will solve all your problems and run better than ever. Also open up your air box buy taking off the cover over the filter and use an exposed K&N air filter.
You can order the D&D chip from D&D exhaust on line for 99.00 . I have two Victory's that had the same problem but not any more. I quess about a 10hp gain and no more popping, they just run perfect.

The original Stage I Kit had a P.O.S. Chip that is pretty much impossible to get right but there is a newer D&D chip that works better if you want to spend the extra money. I do not recommend replacing the air filter cover with a vented one, with more air comes more dirt. By changing out the chip only will stop the “Popping” and decrease the need to use the “manual enricher”.

Purchase a power commander 3 USB. You can customise the map and lean it out in incraments of 2% with it on the bike. Cost... Just under $300.00. 5 minutes to install with NO wiring. Just plug and play!
