| how does the XB12 Firebolt match-up to the GSXR1000 or 750 for that matter ? Any professional comments ?

| uhhhh, i had a sportster and i have a triumph speed triple, and i've never ridden a lightning. nevertheless, i'll take a stab at answering. the question is silly. either gsxr1000 or 750 will rip the buell a new a**hole in any kind of race with equivalent riders. but of course, that's not what the buell is about, is it? i ride with people who are on bikes that will rip my speed triple a new a**hole, too, but if it's tight and twisty and a bit rough, then it's all down to the rider. in that setting, i'd take the speed triple or lighting any day over a racer-replica. don't expect "oh, wow" quarter mile or lap times (race tracks are prepped, public roads aren't) from the lightning. if you're the rider, you'll whoop 'em on the tight and twisty and rough stuff, though. oh, dang, i didn't read the second part of your question. forget everything i've said, i'm not a professional....
