| would the supersport 1000 be to big for a new rider if so what are your veiws on the 800 supersport

| I think I'd go with the 800 if you just have to have a Ducati. The torque of the 1000 might be a bit much for a newer rider. It's just too bad they don't offer a better-equipped SS800 in '04 like they did in '03.

| Ohhh yes, in my opinion, I think the SS1000 is way to big for a newbie to bikes. I personally and going to get a Monster 620 and then an SS800. Take it small first, and don't be afraid to get a used pos for your first bike. You never know when you might drop it, and there isn't anything better than learning how to ride on a bike you don't care about and then doing everything right on something you do love.
