I have an '02 FXDX and would like to lower it. However, I'm not sure which shocks to use. I would like to lower it approx. 1.5 inches. Can anybody out there recommend a shock that will lower it 1.5 inches and still maintain a good ride. I would also like to know if I need to lower the front end.

Thanks!

You can replace the stock 12 & 5/8" shocks with 11" Progressive shocks and then use a White brothers lowering kit for the front. You may have to trim your rear fender though, as the fender may hit your brake caliper on the right and the belt guard on the left when you hit a bump. They say you won't bottom out so badly with Progressive shocks, though.

I have a '99 FXDX that I installed Harley's Dyna Lowering Kit to. It puts the front and rear down approximately 1.5 to 2 inches. It still handles and rides great. I actually enjoy the lower center of gravity. It is also pretty straight forward to install.
