I visited a Triumph dealer the other day to inquire about a Bonneville America and the owner said that he no longer sells Triumphs because of their poor quality and warranty service from the factory. Has anybody else had this experience?

No, the reaction from my dealer was quite the opposite. He sold Kawasaki's as well as Triumphs. He maintains that the factory stands behind their bikes and that the new Bonneville America is a real quality bike - out of the hundred or so bikes that he sold, 2 had slight carburation problems which just needed adjustments. 5 of my friends own the Bonneville America because they were so impressed by the quality, warranty and craftsmanship of the bikes.

I have owned a Triumph for over 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about my bike and the company.
Sounds to me this is a bad dealer that was dropped by Triumph.

Told me that there was no call for trumpets in this area.i knew this was B/S due to the fact that they knew nothing about the bike.i have had four, and my first was in 1978.i never had any serious probs with thembut that was then.

My experience with the Triumph dealer where I purchased my 01 Bonneville with, has been excellent. Quality of the bike, and warranty service has been first rate. Sorry Don, I can't explain why some dealers bad mouth a company, rather than ???. No complaints here, and I love the bike like no other. I'm a lucky man.

The dealer here where I had purchased my 2001 Victory V92C, had been selling Triumph's until about a month ago I believe. I asked why they stopped and was basically told that the factory had shipped them machines without them even ordering them, which is against the law. So they got them to come and get them, and that was the end of that. I assume there is more to this story, but that's what I know about the subject. This may also be a trend that's going on elsewhere in the country?

I ride a 1998 Triumph Thunderbird and can tell you that my dealer operates on the finest shops anywhere. His service department is superb and always willing to help out when needed. I have never had one bit of trouble with my bike and I believe that my dealer would welcome all the Triumphs he could get for he has no trouble selling them. JDR

Don,

I purchased my Bonneville America from a shop in Winber PA. Hope i'm spelling it correctly. This is my first bike. Never been on a bike til yesterday and put 365 miles on it. I can honestly say I am in love. I went with the Triumph for their history, their quality, and I feel they are truly trying to push their way to the top with providing a quality bike. My dad bought a Legend and raves over it after riding one kind of bike or another for 30 plus years. His best friend bought one including two of his best friends relatives who have raced and ran Triumphs for many years including hill climbing. All can not say enough about the quality and ride of this bike. Please understand I am very new to riding but I am surrounded with years of experience and they steared me to Triumph. I believe the others when they tell you that perhaps Triumph dropped the dealer instead of the other way around. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Danny (A very happy new Triumph owner)

I sell Ducati/Moto Guzzi and your dealer gave you a standard excuse for being dropped by Triumph. Almost all the bike companies are good about warranties and standing behind the product. As far as I know, the Triumphs are on a par with the Japanese makes -good bikes.
