| | Buells of past were pretty much a joke. With the XB, a compentent engine was matched to an excellent chassis. This bike will not keep up with or contend with the liter bikes, however a 600 is game. On the street, this bike, short of the new 2004 sportsters has been the funnest bike i've ridden yet. I'm 6'1", 210 lbs (i don't know in stones), and have had no problems (haven't gone on any long jaunts yet, but can't see a weekend trip being out of the question. |

| | the 04 xb12s is the first buell ive ever ridden. im 6'4" and 280 and am just a little cramped on this bike but still comfortable. i had them adjust the rear brake lever and shifter down about one inch each and it made working the controls much easier. otherwise with my height i couldnt contort my feet to work the foot controls without lifting them off the pegs which obviously would suck. as for a long trip i cant wait to get mine out on the road but i will get a tank bag to lean on before i do. if i can get my body about four to six inches padded off the air box cover i dont see any reason i couldnt ride this on extremely long trips. also with no luggage or storage area and tiring of wearing a backpack i think a tank bag is neccessary if you want to carry anything more than a wallet and keys. |
