145 on a vrod - yeah right. If this is true surely your speedo is off quite a bit (even if it does make 118 HP). But, for $8000.00 I can buy any number of 600cc sport bikes that make more hp and will go an honest 160 mph or faster!

get off the friggin pipe man please 145 plus...this bike will top out at around 120.. she is too heavy and has little bhp numbers. those disc wheels would make anything over 80mph russian roullette in any form of even mild crosswind..please get some counseling immediately. good luck.

I own a VROD. With a windshield it tops out at about 134. About buying a 600cc sport bike. I have owned everything. When your 600cc bike you paid $6000 for is worth nothing my bike will still be worth what I paid for it. Another note, when I owned those stupid Jap bikes nobody noticed it. When I pull up anywhere with my VROD I almost always get someone talking to me about the bike. One other note. If I bought a bike and put the kind of money into it that I paid for my VROD, there would not be much around that could even keep up. IT all depend upon what you want to rid.
