| Hello,
I have a 97 FZR 600 and gas seems to be flooding out the cylinders. If it does not start the first couple of cranks it floods out and then I have to take out the plugs let the cylinders dry and replace them with new plugs. I just had a tune up thinking it was the carbs or bad gas. I changed or fixed all of that and I'm still having the same problems. I have done this about 5 times. I change the plugs and it fires right up. I tried something the last time this happened. I took the old plugs from the last time this happened and put them back in and it fired right up. So it does not seem to be the plugs. I have no clue what is going on. Do you think that I got a bad carb tune? I live in Colorado Springs Co. and I know allot of people that have problems because of the altitude. I have a after market slip on pipe but I had this problem before I changed it over. It will run fine for about two weeks and then I will go to ride it one day and it try's to start but it just sputters and then it backfires and back in the garage it goes to change the plugs. PLease Help!
Thanks, Mark

| | the choke may need to be adjusted. as for that after market pipe you may have to re-jet the carbs if they have less exhaust restriction than your old pipes |
