have a 86 yamaha radian,#3 cycl. not firing,replaced everything in the ignition sys.tested w/ohm meter,getting high resistance on secondary side of ign,sys.primary side good,field coil rest.is 16.2k ohms hot,fact. man.says 2.7-3.3k ohms hot,also getting 10.5 volts on #1&4 wires & .5 volts on 2&3 when,question? would my stator or rotor cause #3cycl not to fire

if your coil is hot where #3 connects then the only thing to do is replace the wire. also if the coil is hot that means your stator has produced current. there are only 2 coils and the rotor/stator produces current to them equally irregardless thats just how it is
