The 919 is considered a standard and in that respect gives you the comfort of a cruiser, but with a lot more power and top end. Most cruisers aren't well suited to high speed due to the laid back riding position. All large displacement cruisers have fairly decent acceleration but again that isn't what they're designed for. Cruisers in particular are best suited for enjoying the scenery. If you wouldn't mind the peg position and a slight lean forward the 919 or Yamaha V-max have excellent top speed and straight line acceleration without having to GGG (grind gonads on the gas tank). Both are also short enough for most riders and have great ergonomics. The Vmax is old technology (circa 1985) though. The 919 while not quite as powerful, weighs much less. 0-60 mph time for the 919 is 2.7 secs. Max speed is 150.
