Does anyone out there know the future of the Thunderbird Sport? Triumph no longer offers the regular Thunderbird here in the U.S., and I have read on the web about this will probably be the last year for the "Sport", with only about 150 total to be produced worldwide! Plus if this is true, will there be problems getting parts and accesories? Hope someone out there knows the truth...I'd like to get one before they're gone. T.J.

Hi T.J. Triumph keep things preety tight, It wouldn't supprise me at all if they did can the Sports. As there sales for it were pathetic in 2003 I was going to buy one last year, but the colour put me right of Yuk calf shit orange!!! The local Triumph dealers say the yellow/Black model are selling much better. I can tell you from experience they are a great european bike for the dollars read my reviews. Plus T.J. they are truley a great ride. Don't worry about parts being scarce, as they are the same engine as the Thunderbird (just tuned a bit different) now Extinct. So there should be parts for a long time to come. I did hear for the Sports range Triumph owners that 2005 model Sprints get an overdue face lift, exhaust under the seat (yawn) plus a slimmer look also the Daytona motor is to repower the 05 Sprint 147hp Wow!! Also the 05 Speed tripple gets the same motor (as if they need it) But I haven't heard officially any talk of the canning of the T Bird Sports. Drop a line to the General manager at Hinckley where the Triumph are made in England. I have e-mailed him in the past and he is a straight up dude. His name is Neil Webster his e address is- neil.webster@triumph.co.uk T.J. I will be asking the same question as you could you get back to me with your findings and vice versa. regards Keith Phillips in New Zealand

TJ I have been in touch with Neil Webster,at Triumph UK regarding the future of the TB sports. He tells me that he cannot comment on 2005 model bikes. We will have to wait untill September when all will be revealed at the MUNICH show. So I am still none the wiser. The dealer I purchased my TB sports from reckons he hasn't heard that Triumph UK are no longer making it. So we will all have to sit tight and wait n see. Cheers Keith
