Im STRONGLY considering this bike to purchase in the next month. 2 questions:
1 - Does this bike stay cool if your in traffic. I have to fight traffic on the way home from work.
2 - What is the OUT THE DOOR rate the group has been paying so i have an idea what to expect to pay. ALL repies are welcome. THANKS....

My bike went out the door at $10,400 with a corbon seat onboard. That was w/ tax lic everything. I have been riding in 110 degree heat and no problem. This is the most fun I have had in years.

Hi! I have had my zzr 1200 for 10500 kilometres now. Purchased in june 2002. Yes the bike throws quite a bit of heat to the rider thru fairing. Similar to last generation Vfr. I think I got deal of a lifetime at local dealer 11300 canadian dollars. Love the bike!

I have just under 1000 miles now and my biggest problem is it not staying warm enough. Heat does not seem to be a problem when sitting although it does blow onto your right leg, the motor itself stays cool. When motoring along in 70 deg or less weather it stays too cold and sometimes drops so low it bogs like it needs choke. I am going to have the service dept. take a look into this in 2 weeks. Love the bike though.

The ZZR runs cooler than any bike I have ever owned. Twin fans kick on when stuck in traffic and keep the temp gauge in check. The temp gauge on my Z has never reached the halfway point, thanks to the twin cooling fans.

If you are talking about insurance rates, the ZZR is classified as a TOURING bike NOT a sportbike. There was some confussion amongst the insurance companies who were rating the ZZR(ZX12C1) as a ZX12R.
I pay just over $200/ year full coverage. Age 28 with MSF discount.
