| I have a question that I thought you guys might know the answer. My fiance has an 2002 Sportster 883R and she loves it. The only thing we can't do to it is put saddle bags and forward controls on it. The reason is the brackets that Harley makes will get in the way of the rear shock. The forward controls kit will not fit because the stock header is in the way.
Do you have any sources for us to go to get a correct bracket so we can get bags onto that bike? Or maybe you have heard of this problem and can direct us to others that have done this. Also can you recommend what to do with the stock headers and exhaust to get forward controls to fit this monster?
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

| Joey - I had a sportster and installed a shield and bags no problem - there is a kit for the bags. Go to your dealer and discuss with him - he will fix you up.

| | hi there, you can put saddlebags on any bike. If you want to fit forward controlls just get rid of that ugly 2-1 exhaust and fit standard headers with screaming eagle mufflers. |
