| | They do not hold a value as much as a Harley. Due to the poser appeal that a Harley has. If you want to ride get a Triumph. You will not find a Rocket III anywhere as all the unit made for the first year have been sold already. |

| While it's true they don't hold up as well as Harley in the immediate sense...by that I mean the five-to-ten year depreciation...classic Triumphs are doing very well value wise, in the same comparo...also it is good to keep in mind that the current high re-sale enjoyed by Harley D is due to the demand being higher then the current supply, and HD's 3 year plan of gettin production up to 400,000 units a year - without raising prices - will soon balance that out a bit...buy what you want to drive I guess is my advice to you...good luck

| I do not see them quite holding the value of a Harley but they will not lose value any where near what a Japanese bike will.
I own an 03' HD V Rod and an 04' Triumph Bonneville and I love both bikes. Both companies are great come back stories and you can not go wrong with either one.If you decide on the Triumph may I personally recommend Moto Britalia in Woodstock. They are great to deal with.Ask for Drew and tell them Keith Owens sent you in.Good luck!!!

| | The Triumph was slow to catch on when it first started production again. It is now much better supported by a dealer network. The factory is the absolute most forward thinking in the business and does not wait for trend it vreats them the ir three cyclinder motors are amoungst the strongest, most powerful and reliable. The new Rocket three will set the standard in performance in the cruiser market and will most assuredly hold strong resale value in the future. the engine is rock solid and beyond compare with anything else. I would have payed the price of a Harlet to get one but they came in for much less. Their other models are also great motorcycles. |

| I own a 2001 speed triple and was staggered at the depreciation this bike has suffered over the past 3 years. My bike cost me $10,499 back in Jan. of 01. Today you can get an 04 model for $8,599. It goes to show you just how grossly overpriced this bike was in 01. Beware of buying a high dollar Triumph. If you wait a year or so you can probably pick up the same bike for significantly less right off the showroom floor. The bike has performed up to expectations, however, the economic expectations were trully over exaggerated.

| | Resist the urge to get this bike until the dust has settles. You will no doubt find one used or new for less money. Not to mention that Triumph's are NOT the most reliable bikes to say the least. If this thing ends up with tons of problems, you'll want to let others experience/report on them before you take the plunge. I know 2 people that have owned late model Triumphs and both have had more than their share of woes. |
