| I have a 2003 650 KLR. My friend has a XR650L, he kicks my rear. How gan i make the KLR out run the XR ? Need more power!

| one thing is the xr650l is a dual sport
like the klr but is more of a off road bike,lighter and more powerful.
suggestions to make it faster is muffler
upgrade or a cheaper way is k@n air filter or something along that line.
another way is to change gearing.depending on how it is geard.
I think the gearing is 15/45.change that
to 15/44 or 16/45

| my mistake. the gearing is 15/48 change that to 15/47 or 15/48

| | KLR650 tests out at 35-37 hp vs. 31 hp XR650L per internet search. I doubt the Honda would be faster on the street, in fact vice versa. |
