Performance enhancements or reduction catagory.

Does operating an ATV at higher elevation cause a greater fuel/air mixture, and therefore enhance or reduce engine performance?

I have a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 and can go 80+ miles on a tank. -Stock, no modifications. 900+ miles.
The tank holds 4.13 gallons.
So, I get around 20 MPG on dirt roads in AWD.
But, I do carry another one gallon plastic can along with - just in case.
I usually start out at 4,500 ft. ASL and go up the Bighorn Mtns. at over 9,000 ft., to give you an idea.
(I live in Wyoming.)
Another factor may be the fact that I use 91 super unleaded all of the time.
In driving cars I usually get 10% better gas mileage using super unleaded.
I haven't tried regular yet in the ATV.

And, I read that the fluid level in the front and rear ends is critical for functioning properly.

Anybody got a comment?
