| Hello guys ,
i went to a dealer and he has a Honda Shadow , however it has 39,000 miles.
Should this be something to really concern me?
It is a HONDA SHADOW 1100.
It is about 2,500 british pounds its cost...
Thanks |

Personally, I would continue looking for a bike with MUCH less mileage than that. At 39,000 miles, that's when issues can start to pop up, e.g. clutch, brakes, seals, etc. It's not an absolute that you would have these problems, but it's certainly an increased possibility. There are huge numbers of bikes available out there. I would recommend that you take your time and do your research and find something with 1/4 to 1/3 that mileage. They are there to be found.

| | What year was the bike? I bought a new 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit VT1100 and put on 54,000 miles before selling it for $3,400. I had all my service records and I even had six months left on my service contract. I would not hesitate to buy a bike under these circumsatnces. But, if someone couldn't prove they took care of it, I wouldn't consider the purchase. |
