| Hello to everyone,
i am going to get my first motorbike and i would like some adivce please from anyone that has time to 
I am between some motorbikes now.
1. Daelim Daystar 125cc - £1,600 - I selected this because for a first bike seems ok - not so heavy and not at all expensive for a new bike.
2. Aquilla GV 650cc - 2006 - £3,131 - a used bike with 8.000km
3. HONDA SHADOW 650 - 2002 - £2,000 - but with 39,000 KM.
4. Honda Shadow VT600CD Deluxe - 2007 - £3,800, new.
Now i will be looking around for other motorbikes too, however these are till now my choices.
What would you get guys if you were going to get your first bike?

| I can't give you any experiential information about the bikes you've listed, but I can tell you I like the idea of the light, inexpensive starter bike in general.
A lot of 125 and 250, and even some 500 bikes are designed as starter bikes that are light and easy to handle and learn on, and if there is a dropping of or an accident with them, they are less complicated, and easier and cheaper to fix. they also tend to hold their value well for resale when the rider is ready to move up to a bigger bike that more suits what their riding style has developed into.
I firmly believe a new rider should have a two bike plan. first a small starter bike to learn on more easily while they haven't yet developed a preferred riding or bike style, then a long term bike that fits the rider they've more safely become.
As a side note, if I was deciding between the new honda, and the one with 39000 km, I'd have to consider my general mechanical abilities, and if they were good enough to make the savings on the slightly hing mileage bike worth it, or if I'd rather have more peace of mind and buy the more expensive new bike. (I'd personally go for the new bike if affordable, as I'm a general knowledge guy, not a tech guy)

| | Well My opinion is start on a bike that is easy to sit on and hold up feet flat on the ground ..I like the Honda Magna . and with the 750 cc's you will not grow bored . That can be lightning fast or a comfortable cruise ,You decide by opening the throttle a little or a lot . Look for say a 99 -2003 . shop a bit on Craig's list , Great Bike .... |
