| Hello,
I have been having problems with my electric start. When I press the button for the electric start I hear a distinct clicking sound coming from a small round black piece mounted underneath the seat. The main positive cable from the battery connects directly to it.
There is no attempt at the engine turning over at all. It just clicks rapidly until you let off the electric start button.
If anyone else has had this problem or know what the problem is could you please help.
Thanks |

| is that a starter relay. if you can EASILY open it (disconnect the battery first-no offense if you already knew that, but you never know) and look for anything that looks wrong such as a frayed or burnt wire, or a place where the insulation is off the wire and it is touching something that makes a short, or anything else you notice. If you don't find anything that way, I'd inspect the rest of the wiring, but my bet would be that the problem is in there. That would be the end of my "do-it-myself" line, but maybe others can guide you further.
