I was looking at the shadow spirit 750 dc, but heard way too much about the seat and position that makes a bad back worse. I got to looking at the aero and as a women rider for 7 years I know I can handle it, just wondering about comfort level. Had to say good-bye to my gsx-r 600, just want a comfy cruiser. Thanks!!!

Personally, I wouldn't allow the seat to sway your decision between the Shadow Spirit and Aero for one obvious reason - neither seat is that good. I know them both to be nice bikes, with the Spirit being a little more "sporty"" looking, otherwise they're mechanically the same. A good friend had until recently a 2006 Aero, but traded up in Nov. He liked it a lot and still says good things about it. The commonly found negative area, one with which he agrees completely, is with its seat being quite uncomfortable. With either model, it will probably require a switch to something like the Mustang, which my friend and many others have gotten, all who seem to love it. The Mustang doesn't place you lower, but it will move you forward just slightly.

So, if it's just a "comfort" thing, neither one receives high marks, which is why that, alone, should not be the deciding factor. Back to the drawing board as to which one you truly like and want MORE. They both are really nice bikes that do lots of things very well for bikes their size. Plus, they look good, too. : )

If you do get a new bike and want to look at a new Mustang seat, go to www.sscustomcycles.com and look around. Then, contact by email or phone SHANE, who is absolutely THE best to work with when it comes to price, communication, service, follow-up, etc.

Good luck with your decision.
