| | Driving my 1983 Honda Shadow VT500C (first bike) about 50miles to my house, I noticed that it wouldn't go much higher than 60mph... (in 6th gear/OD). Then after reaching 60mph it would lose some steam and go back down to about 55mph... then after awhile at 55mph would go back up to 60mph. It has about 12k miles on it. Does this sound normal for this old of a bike or this model? Thanks. |

| | Try posting your question in the Honda VLX forum. Those are smaller bikes and possibly someone is more familiar with your problem. |
