Re: .....im in the market for a bike and i was wondering which is the better bike. how is the power, riding postion for me and passengers, issues, suspension, and your impressions on this bike. Honda 1300c vs Vulcan 900 (presuming you're referring to the 900 Classic

First, there's no doubts about which is the better bike, but which is the better bike for YOU is the actual question you need to properly answer. With bikes, bigger is not necessarily better. It may be the contrary. The better one could be either one of these bikes, depending upon your riding experience, your riding style and where you intend to do most of your riding. The Honda offers much more than the Kawi, but it also costs much more... +$2,200 (retail). The Honda has carbs, the Kawi FI...advantage Kawi. The Honda has gobs more power...advantage Honda, but also weighs 220 lbs more and doesn't handle slow speeds nearly as well as the Kawi...advantage Kawi. On the open road, while they're both nice, the Honda has a better and smoother ride and lots more power...advantage, while is seems apparent to go to Honda, it's actually again is dependent upon how and where you'll be riding. The Kawi is more economical, plus it has a larger gas tank. Fuel Injection makes it easier to start and ride, also is a big advantage when riding in elevation. The Kawi is an excellent bike for the money and has more than enough power for normal riding. The Honda is excellent if you're wanting a bigger and more powerful bike with better open road manners. Again, no wrong answer, just the one that is most suitable for you.

ps....sorry, can't be more definitive without knowing "the rest of the story." : )

One more thing....if you will be riding mostly with a passenger, why not the 1300T vs the Vulcan 900 Classic LT??
