| Yeah, I currently have an 03 honda rancher es 4x4, and I would like to upgrade to something automatic that has sum more sack, and that I can take out of 4wd. so which is better, A vinson 500 auto, or an Outlander 400 Xt? I ride in (mediokre) mud, rocks, making trails through the woods, and I also ride in snow/ ice, and I like the comfortable trail ride. I would like to know which is better for those things, and which is more dependable (Breakdown wise) If you can think of a better one than just tell me (400-500cc) no yamaha or polaris. |

| | the outlander is a nice machine and comparatively possibly a little better than the vinson. I own the vinson it has been a great machine (nearly 3000 miles with few breakdowns)wish it had independent suspension. Arctic cat makes a nice machine with either a suzuki 500 (same as Vinson) or arctic cat engine (650 H1). both seen to be very good machines with superior ground clearance and independent suspension which for serious off roading is very nice. |

| Hi, I own a 2002 Vinson and I can say it' s the first and the last. I wouldn' t buy one if I was you. Since they came out in 2002 and I bought mine in '02 Iv' e had a few problemswith it. Shift cable broke a few times(recall), main bearings in tranny broke(suzuki paid parts but didn't want to call it a recall, I paid time), corrosion in main wire to dash(bad insullation in factory splice), frame broke in several unlogical places, front bearings pre-mature wear, front part of frame where winch is mounted tore off while winching in mudhole and most recently ALL the bolts in front differentiel were loose and 4 came undone, which caused the diff case to literally "explode" so I had to change that. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SUZUKI VINSON, and I am totally DIS-SATISFIED. The Can-am 400 is a bit small. Go a bit bigger. MY next buy would probably be either a Can-Am 800 or an Arctic cat. Hope this helps. P.S The vinson engine runs great, that's why I would buy Arctic cat. |

| Yeah my friend has a quad master which is major junk, it has had all those problems ecept for the differrential exploding, but i thought the vinson was a much better quad. That was the only bad response i have ever heard about a vinson. It doesn't really matter any way because I went with a 1998 Honda Foreman 450s, which is a very reliable and fun quad, but i think for a little more money i would have gone with either vinson or outlander 400 or if i won the lottery 500. |
