| | My husband is really interested in buying a rebel to go back and forth to work. the problem is he drives 20 miles each way all highway. Can the rebel take this kind of daily use? the dealer said no. |

| | The rebel is physically small, so unless your husband is less than 5'7" tall, he would find the Rebel quite uncomfortable. It also depends on where you live. If you live in flat country and can safely ride between 55 and 65 it might work out OK. If you live in hill country or if your husband is not that small, he should probably be looking at a larger bike. I believe this bike is intended for women to start riding on who would be intimidated by 500-750cc twin or single cylinder cruisers, which are reasonable starting points for most men. |

| I am also interested in this bike primarily for economy. I ride 35 miles (one way) to work every day. Does anyone have a good idea of what kind of gas mileage to expect?
Thanks. |

| | I have been riding 25 miles each way for almost 3 years now on my 2005 rebel, with no problems. I am 5'7" almost 200lbs and manage to get 70 -75 mpg, a co-worker is much smaller and gets 80mpg and he runs it all over the state of Florida. |

| | This motorcycle should last for 4 years or 40,000 miles before having to do heavy repairs. Chains and sprockets last around 10,000 miles; tires somewhat less. Exhaust systems on singles may need work after 40,000, twins using 2 into 1 last a lot longer. You most likely tire of the bike long before in wears out. In Bermuda most of the mopeds and light motorcycles have upwards of 20,000 km. (12,000 miles) on them and still look sharp even on an island 2x24 miles long in the middle of the Atlantic. Happy riding, Ed |
