Can anyone inform me what the difference is between the Susuki Burgman 400 and the 400 Type S? I am thinking of buying the 400 and would like to know what the difference between the 2 models are. Thank you. Sirbuilder99

No idea!

The only years I saw for the S were 05, and 06. The only difference I saw on any of the specs between them was the overall height, (but not the seat height or ground clearance) was lower on the S in o6 if I recall. So the only other differences I can think of are luggage space configuration, or maybe engine mapping. The S is a little more expensive, so maybe its engine is mapped for higher performance. The engine, comp ratio, wheels, brakes, weight, etc are all the same between the two from what I saw, both on Suzuki's, and this website.

According to Suzuki, the Type S Includes:
Shortened smoke-finished windscreen for sporty appearance
Chrome-plated handlebar; handlebar cover and rear-view mirrors
Aluminum rear spoiler mounted behind passenger seat
Limited Edition black wheels

That's about it
