I own a 2007 Brute Force 650, and need some HELP!!! After about 3 months of owning this machine it became very hard to start, and once started would not stay running. you would have to crank the idle way up to keep it running. Once the engine warms up you have no engine braking, and the motor idles way too high, you then have to turn the idle down about 2-3 turns. I have put this unit in two different shops on 5 separate occasions to fix this problem. It was fixed at one time for a period of two months, however the same problem has come back. When they fixed it they said they synchronized the carbs, adjusted valves, reset idle stop on throttle plates. Once engine is warm, and you adjust idle back down it runs great and will restart no problem. This problem initially started in July, and has reared its ugly head again in November so it is not a cold weather issued.

This problem just will not go away and turned up under the warranty period. It was in the shop 4 times while it was under warranty for this problem. Now that the unit is out of warranty by a few months, and the same problem has come back, Kawasaki is refusing to do anything about it now, and is claiming I did not maintain the unit properly (BS). What is worse is that Kawasaki admitted to me (while unit was under warranty) that they were aware of this problem. Anyway it is going to cost me a lot of money to fix a problem that should have been resolved a long time ago under warranty. Obviously whatever the dealer did was only a temporary fix..Any suggestions for this on going problem?

And oh by the way I also had to have this unit in on two separate occasions to have the valve covers resealed since they started to leak oil.
