its kinda hard to tell because mud can depend on tires and how deep of mud but i would say if ur riding w/ other sport quads you'd be fine, and hill climbs kinda depends on how expericed u r, because i can climb some stuff but the front end is light and comes up, plus if its stock its not so great on low end power which doesnt' matter if ur rpm is higher

i have the dvx 400 it is one of the best atvs i have rid it has so much torque i have taken in trail blazing and it good for puddles but you have to be careful of the chain of tree stumps the wheels in back are like having 4 wheel drive
