| Hello folks if you're reading this then you must own the red headed stepchild of the motorcycle industry know as the EN500 or 500 LTD. well great news there are two European suppliers of after market parts for this scoot. one is Hepco and Becker the other is Highway Hawk.highway hawk makes more traditional parts like Americans are used to seeing on bikes whereas h and p makes BMW esque looking parts like top cases and hard bags. yes folks I said hard luggage for your 500ltd. but be warned it's not cheap. the h and p rack for all three luggage pieces goes for $306.60 plus shipping and thats not including your choice of cases which are either soft or hard but all lockable and waterproof. highway hawk has some cool bars called wishbone bars look at the new custom 900 vulcan to get an idea of what these look like.and yes all this stuff previously mentioned is chrome stuff. one more place to look is Bikepics.com look under the EN500 pictures to find what this luggage system looks like.
on a final note sometimes it's good to leave a bike to be what it is kawasaki makes a good sissybar for this bike and the other parts aren't to bad either so before you blow 900 bucks outfitting your bike with euro goodies think twice, the classic look is nicer than you might think.
to get a idea of how cool your 500ltd is when you park somewhere and when you see someone looking at it pretend the bike isn't yours and ask them what they think about it you might find that your bike is an object of envy and not so small after all..Good luck and happy trails my friends.. |
