Was at the local Powesports shop and looking at a Burgman 400.

The sales guy asked what I was going to use for (if mainly city or highway, etc...). Told him 5 ile to and from work and minor highway sometimes. (county highway 55mph limits not interstate).

He said they have these Yamaha 260 LINHAI that are more power that the 250 scooters like the Honda Reflex or the Yamaha Morphous but have them for $2900.

They look ok, but wonder about quality.

I can not find much about the bikes online, even Yamaha does not list them.

I am a returning rider that took a break in riding since 1988 when I sold my Yamaha FZR Fazer. I have use to ride bikes upto 900cc Ninja before I sold my bike in 1988. I have enrolled in a rider safety course since will also lower my insurance 20% and good review.

My main problem is that I am some what short. 29.5inch inseam so the Burgman was a little tight (was the reason I sold the FZR, didn't like standing on tippy-toes at stop lights). But the Burg was not that bad.

Any info on the Yamaha 260 LINHAI whould be great.

Linhai is on of the big Chinese motor sports manufacturer. These are not made by Yamaha but Linhai makes certain engines for Yamaha under a joint venture. You may want to check some of the scooter specific forums.
