I was hoping anyone can recommend a bike for me. I am about 5 9'' and weight about 220lbs. I have no experience in riding bikes, and would like into it. What bikes do you think are my best shots according to my situation???
I am open to all suggestion and any brand.

Thanks for the help.

Some bikes that are widely considered good for beginners are the Kawasaki Ninja 250, the Ninja 500, and the Suzuki GS 500 F. There are many others in that range of cc's that are probably good choices too. At your size, the 500's may be a little better, and you're not likely to outgrow them ability wise too soon. Eventually you may want more bike, but these are smart choices for starters. If you go to a dealer (or anyone else) and they try to convince you to go a step up to a 600 cc supersport like a Ninja ZX6R, or a GSXR-600, or any other race replica, DON'T LISTEN. These bikes are a whole new world that beginners should avoid. They offer no forgiveness of mistakes. Also, don't listen to anyone who tells you that falling or crashing is just a part of riding. It doesn't have to be if you start out with a bike that isn't too much for your abilities. Take the MSF class or get other professional instruction before you buy a bike. Then make a short list, sit on them, ride them if you can and pick the one you like. Best luck and welcome to the club!
