I'm a new rider, 5' 4" gal. I have an 02 Hugger coming later this week. It has buckhorn handlebars. Some people are telling me it will be much harder to ride than with standard Sporty bars. Is this true? The dealership will be installing an easy clutch for me this Thursday, and if I should change bars I'd like to know before then.

I found that the buckhorns have a tendency to cause back problems (at least for me). They require you to ride in a leaning forward postion. I put on a set of mini ape hangers about 3000 miles ago and find them extremely comfortable. Your arms are in a natural position (not so high that they go to sleep) and it allows you to ride in a straight-up position. They also look great on the sportster!
