| I'm looking at the Vstrom 1000 and the Triumph Tiger. The Tiger seems quicker but the windscreen is useless on the freeway. I'm 6'3'. I heard you can get a tall screen for the Vstrom. I'm coming off a VTX 1800 with a tall screen. Any thoughts on the two bikes would be appreciated. I do both freeway and Country roads in my commute. Thanks.

| Depends on whether you like Buffeting or just wind noise.
Personally i would rather have the direct wind noise. the strom would have more buffeting due to both stock windshields not quite capable of making the air flow directly around the rider. as for the tiger, the windshieldis short but both have just as much accessories for the ride you want. i recommend that you test ride both and see which one you like. and so for the type of riding you want to do. the strom is a compromise between off roading and sport-touring. and as for the tiger is more of a straight up sport tourer. and both bike have extinsive forums and riders sites so you can ask any wuestions you would need answered there. |

| This may be a stupid comment, but try earplugs too if you haven't already. It helps on any bike.
