I have had problems with the battery in my,outlander since from the first couple of months I bought it.I was wondering if any one else has experinced this problem,I think maybe the battery that came with it,does not have the cranking amps to turn over this twin cylinder engine,or it is not charging enough.Either way this is very fustrating with a machine I paid 9000.00 dollars for,and I had a 2004 outlander 400 before this 2007,that I had as simlar problem with it.All the hipe that BRP made over these machines, you would think they would have corrected this problem after 4 years. And to top it off, this is the most money I ever spent on a atv,and I owened close to 20 diffrent atvs, some i only paid a few 100.00 for,and this is the first atv that left me stranded in the woods, To were I had to walk back to get help. Also access to the battery is very poor. Which would be no big deal if you wouldnt have to access it that much.

I just wanted to follow some of my comments I made about my outlander. I bashed this machine a Lot,but the performance and ride of this machine is Amazing,And and any previous Atv Ive owened, or ive ridden even compares to it, But none of that means to much when your stranded and you have to walk back.

i own two can am's one is a 2006 800, the other one is a 2007 500 i have not had any battery problems with either one, i live in canada were the temp. can drop to -35 to -40 the quads are in a non heated garage and still start without hesitation. the 800 has aprox. 2000km with no problems. started to run a little ruff so i called the dealer and he said to run injecter cleaner in it once in awhile which smoothed it out right away
